With a voice that carries both conviction and tenderness, Stephani is an artist who knows how to bring scripture to life through song. Her latest release, “God Will Open The Windows Of Heaven” stands as a testament to her deep faith and her love for Gospel and Blues. Originally written by Babbie Mason, the song resonated with Stephani not only for its lyrical grounding in scripture but also for its timeless message of hope and divine provision.
Produced by Brian Speer and recorded at the legendary Sound Shop on Nashville’s Music Row, the project places Stephani in the company of some of the city’s finest session musicians. For her, the experience was both humbling and surreal, knowing she was recording in the same space once graced by icons like Paul McCartney. The result is a recording that feels both reverent and alive, a meeting place of tradition and personal expression.
What makes Stephani’s interpretation of this hymn stand out is her natural ability to weave Gospel and Blues into a single, soul-stirring sound. For her, this connection is not just stylistic but deeply spiritual. She leans on the improvisational freedom of both genres, allowing her voice to be guided by the Holy Spirit. The music becomes more than performance. It is testimony.
Recognition has already begun to follow. Recently named a Semi-Finalist in the 2025 Unsigned Only Music Awards for Best Female Vocalist, Stephani sees the honor as both encouragement and confirmation of her path as an independent artist. Yet despite accolades, her heart remains rooted in service through song. Whether describing her dream collaborations with legends like Elvis Presley and Frank Sinatra or her hopes for listeners to “look to Jesus,” she carries herself with gratitude and humility.
As she prepares to release the official music video for “God Will Open The Windows Of Heaven” later this month, directed by British filmmaker Marc Hamill, Stephani is stepping boldly into the next chapter of her artistic journey. With every note, she continues to remind us of the power of faith, the resilience of the human spirit, and the beauty that can emerge when Gospel truth meets Blues soul.
We sat down with Stephani to talk about the inspiration behind her new single, her creative process, and what lies ahead.

Congratulations on the release of “God Will Open The Windows Of Heaven.” Can you share what initially drew you to this song and why you felt compelled to record your own rendition?
Thank you very much! The Bible says that the grass withers and the flowers fade, but the Word of God is eternal. My favorite songs are those that quote the scriptures because they emphasize those eternal truths deliberately. With “God Will Open The Windows Of Heaven,” Babbie Mason has done that so beautifully. It was a great privilege to have recorded her hymn.
This project was produced by Brian Speer and recorded at The Sound Shop on Nashville’s Music Row, a historic location. What was it like working in such an iconic space with some of Nashville’s top session musicians?
It was truly an honor to work with such esteemed musicians, singers, and sound engineers, including Brian Speer. And, yes, in such an iconic venue as well! To have worked in such a historic location felt surreal. Good heavens, Sir Paul McCartney recorded there! I have been blessed.
Your rendition beautifully fuses Gospel and Blues. When you began working on this project, did you already envision that blend, or did it develop naturally during the recording process?
Thank you! It is always paramount for me to respect the author’s intentions for his or her song, and to sing it in the way it was written. And this song was certainly written with a soulful sound in mind. A wispy delivery would not have cut it! I also welcome the improvisational freedom that is inherent to both Gospel and Blues, wholeheartedly. Gospel requires the singers and musicians to allow the Holy Spirit to lead. From the very start we leaned into that soulfulness to the fullest and embraced that deep connection between Gospel and Blues.
On a personal level, the Blues genre has always held a special place in my heart. I believe it was placed there by God. It’s a part of me. When I need it, when the song requires it, when the Spirit moves, it’s already there. It comes very naturally to me, and it’s been there since I was a little girl. I am extremely thankful for that. So, I relish the opportunity to intertwine the two genres, and I do so with great reverence and respect.
If you had to describe “God Will Open The Windows Of Heaven” in just three words to someone who hasn’t heard it yet, what would they be?
Look to Jesus.
You were recently named a Semi-Finalist in the 2025 Unsigned Only Music Awards for Best Female Vocalist. How does this recognition impact your journey as an independent artist?
I am enormously appreciative of this great honor. Being recognized by such a prestigious organization has indeed positively impacted my journey, and I am immensely grateful.
If you could collaborate with any artist, past or present, who would it be and why?
Elvis Presley and Frank Sinatra. I feel like I was born in the wrong era! I owe them both a debt of gratitude, and you cannot get any better than the King of Rock and Roll and the Chairman of the Board!
Music has the power to uplift and heal. What do you hope listeners feel or take away when they hear your version of “God Will Open The Windows Of Heaven”?
It is my hope that listeners will hear the message of the eternal power and hope of the God of Israel.
As you look ahead, how do you see this release shaping your path as an artist, and what can your fans look forward to in your upcoming projects?
The response to this song has been amazing! And I am super excited to announce the forthcoming release of my official music video for “God Will Open the Windows Of Heaven,” which drops this month. It has been produced by the esteemed British director, Marc Hamill, with whom I have previously collaborated. His work is amazing, and I am eager for the premiere!
The music industry can be both exciting and challenging. What advice would you share with aspiring singers who want to pursue Gospel or Blues today?
Never give up. Never quit.
Looking ahead, what goals or dreams do you hope to achieve in the next few years, both musically and personally?
God has blessed me so much, and I am immeasurably thankful for all the success I have had. He has already made so many of my goals and dreams a reality. My cup literally runneth over. Since I was a little girl, I have always placed my trust in Him. He has perfectly orchestrated my footsteps. I have never gone astray, and that has placed me in very good stead. I look forward to more of the same!
