EMMI IIDA is an internationally recognised Finnish visual artist, holistic interior architect & musician currently based in the countryside of Southern Finland. She released her new single, ‘Energy Guru’, on the 26th of October 2023 via EFG Records Oy. The multi-faceted artist has hosted solo art exhibitions around the world, from Barcelona to Los Angeles.

She now seeks to translate her artistic prowess into her music, with ‘Energy Guru’ set as her second official release, following the success of her song ‘Blooming’, which gained support from notable tastemakers METAL Magazine and CLASH Mag, as well as securing her an interview with MTV Finland. In addition, ‘Energy Guru’ was produced by #1, gold-disc selling songwriter and producer Jess Sharman, who has created music for shows and movies like Grey’s Anatomy, Love Island and The Inbetweeners. Accelerating her momentum, ‘Energy Guru’ premiered and received support from NOCTIS Mag.

Seeking to create and express in unlimited forms, she founded her own company EFG Productions Oy, as well as EFG Records Oy, a record label focusing on bringing holistic wellbeing and union with healing frequencies.

Born in Hollola, Finland, Emmi Granlund began playing the piano at the age of 5. She spent her early school years in a musical elementary school, singing in a choir and in an acapella band, performing her first solo in front of a crowd at the age of 9. ”My dad used to play guitar and sing for us, for me and my five little brothers when we were kids.” says EMMI IIDA. This early exposure to music had her singing in front of the TV and making her own songs constantly, even when she was supposed to be asleep in her bed.

With ‘Energy Guru’, EMMI IIDA succeeds in her intended delivery. Kickin off with deeply lucious pads and strings, the intro is nothing short of serene. Like raindrops, ever angelic and soothing, her healing voice and words emit a deep state of calm. The arrival of her ethereal vocals beckons the listener in, sedating and illuminating, demanding your attention in a delicately nuanced way. Topically exploring themes of empowerment, duality and love, EMMI sings about her own trials and tribulations, and the eventual power she has derived from them. As she seeks to embolden and educate the listener with her melodious and meditative lyrics, the result is a deeply tranquil and holistic song sure to inspire all who listen to it.
