Ed Sheeran – Drive: Ed Sheeran is hitting the gas on a bold new sound with “Drive”, his latest single released as part of the upcoming F1® THE ALBUM—the official companion to Apple Original Films’ F1® THE MOVIE starring Brad Pitt and directed by Top Gun: Maverick’s Joseph Kosinski. The track is out now via Atlantic Records, with the full album set to drop June 27 alongside the movie’s global theatrical release through Warner Bros. Pictures.
“Drive” sees Sheeran surrounded by an all-star lineup of musical heavyweights. John Mayer brings his signature guitar finesse, while Foo Fighters frontman Dave Grohl powers the rhythm section with thunderous drums. Add in the legendary Pino Palladino on bass and Rami Jaffee on keys, and you’ve got a full-throttle collaboration that’s both cinematic and electrifying. The track was produced by Blake Slatkin and Mayer, adding even more fire to the mix.
The music video, directed by Chris Villa (known for work with Post Malone and Morgan Wallen), premiered today on YouTube and captures the raw energy of the track with a sleek, high-speed visual that mirrors the intensity of the film.
“Drive” joins an already stacked tracklist that includes contributions from RAYE, Burna Boy, Madison Beer, and Peggy Gou. Following the success of Barbie The Album and The Greatest Showman, F1® THE ALBUM continues Atlantic Records’ streak of pairing top-tier artists with major cinematic moments.

With “Drive,” Ed Sheeran steps confidently into new territory. It’s a turbocharged anthem built for the fast lane—proof once again that whether he’s delivering heartfelt ballads or adrenaline-fueled rock, Sheeran is always ready to surprise.
