Burna Boy Nominated Again For 2020 BET Awards: Burna Boy, the acclaimed Nigerian Afro-fusion artist, has been nominated once again for the prestigious Black Entertainment Television (BET) Awards. These awards honor outstanding achievements in music, film, television, sports, and philanthropy within the Black community.
In 2019, Burna Boy clinched the Best International Act award. His mother and manager, Bose Ogulu, affectionately known as Mama Burna, accepted the award on his behalf. Her inspiring speech celebrated Black excellence and left a lasting impression.
This year’s nominations were announced on Monday, June 15, 2020. Burna Boy is in the running for the Best International Act award, competing with South African singer Sho Madjozi, UK artists Stormzy and Dave, French musicians Ninho and S.Pri Noir, and Innoss’B from the Democratic Republic of Congo.

The virtual awards ceremony will be broadcast on BET Africa at 2 a.m. CAT (1 a.m. WAT) on Monday, June 29, 2020, and will be hosted by American comedian and actress Amanda Seales.
