Powerhouse vocalist, Bucky Heard of The Righteous Brothers, has released his uplifting debut solo country single, “My Best Days.” The track, from his forthcoming full-length album, is available today at national digital retailers at this link.
“’My Best Days’ turned out to be the perfect song for this album and I couldn’t wait to get into the studio to record it!” exclaims Heard. “Soulful lyrics and an uplifting melody line drive home the inspirational message that age ain’t nothing but a number so just keep being the best you that you can be! Like the song says, ‘There’s a whole lotta world out there that I can’t wait to see, and my best days are ahead of me!’ Now, live it up my friends, and revisit that dream!”
Written by Nashville Songwriter Hall of Fame member Kent Blazy (“If Tomorrow Never Comes,” and “Ain’t Goin’ Down (‘Til The Sun Comes Up)” – Garth Brooks), and hitmaker Marv Green (“Amazed” – Lonestar), “My Best Days” is an anthem for our times. The track was produced by the legendary Bob Bullock (Shania Twain, Reba, George Strait, Keith Urban, and REO Speedwagon, among many others) at Curb Studios, Watershed, and Soundville Studios in Nashville. It features Heard on lead and background vocals, and an all-star backing band of Music Row A-list players including Eddy Bayers on drums, Michael Spriggs on acoustic guitar, Chris Leuzinger and Kenny Greenberg on electric guitars, Mike Brignardello on bass guitar, Jim Moose Brown on piano, synth and Hammond Organ, Sam Levine on saxophone, and Kim Keys, Vicki Hampton, Robert Bailey, Chris Rodriguez, and Joey Ritchie on background vocals.
Heard has been one-half of the legendary duo, The Righteous Brothers, for the past decade, and his longtime boss is in full support of his step into the solo spotlight. “I was never going to reform the Righteous Brothers until I heard Bucky,” states Rock and Roll Hall of Famer, Bill Medley. “He checked every box in my heart and my head. When we first sat down at the piano to see if it sounded and felt right it was magical, just like when Bobby and I first sang together. I love Bucky and have never felt so safe onstage. He’s a great singer, but more importantly, a great man, a great father and a great husband. Now I feel I can slip into the shadows knowing I have been a part of a great group. Thanks Bucky, I love you.”
The Righteous Brothers are currently on their Farewell Tour, and Heard is performing select solo shows.

ABOUT BUCKY HEARD
Bucky Heard has earned the reputation as a singer who has “the soulful grittiness of Bob Seger and the soaring vocal range of Steve Perry.” It also speaks volumes about Heard, whose inspirational, uplifting, and energetic live performances are filled with joy and exuberance. Heard’s music – and his artistry – are on full display in his upcoming album produced by legendary Nashville producer, Bob Bullock. From hard-driving rock and country songs that showcase his powerhouse vocal style, to mid-tempos that carry life-affirming messages, to delicate ballads that demonstrate the depth of his soulful vocal range, the album is a spot on snapshot of a man whose talent is only matched by his determination.
An Alabama native and Auburn University alumnus (BFA Theatre Performance), Heard has garnered critical praise in such publications as The Washington Post and USA Today. He has shared the concert stage with a constellation of superstars from multiple genres, including Glen Campbell, Michael McDonald, BB King, The Beach Boys (with Mike Love), The Temptations, Jonathan Cain (Journey), and many more.
After many years of experience performing in clubs, theatres and venues across America, Heard’s life was forever changed in 2016, when he was hand-picked by legendary Rock and Roll Hall of Fame icon, Bill Medley, to become his partner in the Righteous Brothers (“Unchained Melody,” “You’ve Lost That Loving Feeling”). Heard’s youthful energy has rekindled a new spark into the world-class Righteous Brothers, who are now on their farewell tour.
