Bones Ate Arfa – Akimbo People: Brighton-based psych desert rock and street punk trio Bones Ate Arfa have just unleashed their explosive debut EP, Akimbo People. The release has already garnered national acclaim from Radio X, Earmilk, and BBC Radio 6. The trio is gearing up for a UK tour throughout August to support their debut.
Fronted by Arfa, who is known for his collaborations with Isaac Holman of Soft Play and Kate Nash, Bones Ate Arfa has quickly gained attention as a band to watch. Their new six-track EP showcases their unique and boundlessly creative alt-rock sound, featuring infectious, distortion-heavy riffs and catchy melodies. The EP stands out with its urgent and deceptively catchy lead vocals, intricate musical ideas, and a sense of radiant creativity.
The band describes the EP as a reflection on relationships and their unpredictable nature. “The Akimbo People EP is a body of work all about relationships and how the ups and downs are really unpredictable,” they explain.
