Liverpool Indie-Rock risers The Memos release the anticipated debut EP Futures Ours to Find.
Building a reputation for their raw sense of energy, heartfelt songwriting, and thoughtful lyricism, the new EP showcases the band’s growth so far. Led by frontman and songwriter Aaron Spencer captures a distinct blend of 90s brit-pop and guitar led indie-rock delivery, some moments high-octane feel good energy and others of intimate, heartfelt emotion.
Speaking about the EP Aaron explains: “Futures Ours To Find’ is about dreaming big and feeling empowered to take the risks. There are themes of real-life struggle, adversity, and resilience running through the tracks, but also a sense of optimism and love. It’s about believing in yourself against all the odds and having the hope and grit to carve your own path”
Spencer’s songwriting journey has included collaborations with Kyle Falconer (The View) and Justin Hawkins (The Darkness). With the upcoming EP ‘Futures Ours to Find,’ recorded and produced by Ben Harper (Mysterines, The Zutons, The Sherlocks) at The Motor Museum, he presents a body of work, marking a confident step forward in his artistic evolution.
With airplays from the likes of Amazing Radio and SiriusXM, and press support across tastemakers including Earmilk, Psychedelic Baby Magazine and Fame Magazine to name a few, The Memos are building strong momentum, gaining comparisons to Sam Fender and Catfish and the Bottlemen whilst also growing a reputation for their high octane live shows, with recent performances beyond Merseyside, including The Halliwell Jones Stadium to 10,000 people.
