Pop sensation, Jon Mullins, has released the highly emotional ballad, “In a Second.” The single is available today at all major digital outlets.
Co-written by Mullins and Becca Rae Greene, “In a Second” was produced and mixed in Nashville by Ryan Prewett. The track features Mullins on lead and background vocals, Prewett on piano and programming, and Chris Condon on guitars.
“’In a Second’ was born from a deep place of regret that comes by pushing away someone that you wish you wouldn’t have,” says Mullins. “It’s a situation that many have lived through. We know that we can’t turn back time to hold on tighter, or to let them break down our walls sooner, but if we could…. we would in a second.”
The reaction from fans on pre-release TikTok clips of the song has been very strong, with combined views in excess of 2.9 million.
In addition to his notoriety as a vocal powerhouse alum of ‘The Voice,’ Mullins has been featured by numerous national and international media outlets, including People, NBC, USA Network, American Songwriter, Taste of Country, and many others.
ABOUT JON MULLINS:
Jon Mullins, a Pennsylvania native, moved to Nashville in 2014 to pursue music full time. But he was soon tested in the fire, along with his marriage, when his wife Whitney took a devastating fall and suffered crippling physical and mental setbacks as a result. Through the darkness the couple relied on their faith and commitment to each other which in turn inspired his trilogy of well-received 2020-21 single releases, which reflected on the stress, frustration, and ultimately the unwavering love and support which bonds their relationship. “Better Man” focused on his wedding vows to her to see it through for better or worse. “Get To You” dealt with the harsh realities of climbing an uphill battle. The final song, “Survive,” brought about a new light and renewed spirit. It’s no wonder that Mullins’ riveting performances during his 2020 stint on NBC’s ‘The Voice’ gave Kelly Clarkson “chills.” Through his honesty, intuitive nature and introspective mind, Mullins shatters the glass ceiling of expectations in a smoke and mirrors industry. His most recent singles “Hot Like Summer” and “Finer Things” further showcased the depth of his artistry and in the process, ignited a fire that is sure to burn brightly for many years to come.
In addition to his recording and performance career, Mullins is an in-demand songwriter and currently collaborates with some of Nashville’s top tunesmiths.
