Charlie Freeman – Reconnection: London-based singer-songwriter Charlie Freeman, known in the alt-soul/rock scene for his heartfelt and melodic sound, has released his latest EP, Reconnection — a project that captures his artistic evolution and reaffirmation of music’s power to heal and unite. Blending ’70s rock ‘n’ roll swagger, Britpop spirit, and Americana warmth, Freeman’s sound continues to explore universal themes of truth, love, freedom, and spiritual connection.

The Reconnection EP runs 14 minutes and 1 second, featuring four tracks — Not Tomorrow, Bluebird, Redemption Song (a moving reinterpretation of Bob Marley’s classic), and Two Witches. Together, they offer an introspective yet uplifting journey that showcases Freeman’s signature blend of raw emotion and melodic craftsmanship.

The release sets the stage for Freeman’s forthcoming full-length album, Gift In The Shadows, expected at the end of 2025. Described by the artist as his “most personal work to date,” the album will delve into themes of redemption, acceptance, and finding light in the darkness.

Critics have already celebrated Freeman’s music for its authenticity and emotional resonance. Indie Buddie praised him as “instantly swayable and charming with an infectious buoyancy,” while Huffington Post called his work “an overwhelmingly contagious quality that is hard to shake off.” Indie Pulse added, “His music has that fun-loving zeal for life. Definitely an artist to follow.”

To coincide with the new releases, Freeman will embark on an extensive world tour beginning in late 2025, covering Europe, the USA, Mexico, and Argentina. Promising what he describes as “immersive, connective gig experiences,” these performances will merge music, meditation, and spiritual reflection, offering audiences more than a concert, but a shared moment of healing and connection.

For Charlie Freeman, life is music, and music is life. With Reconnection, he reaffirms that belief, inviting listeners everywhere to join him on a journey back to the heart of what matters most.

ARTIST BIO:

Charlie Freeman, known artistically as FREE/MAN, is a London-based musician, actor, and producer entering a bold new phase of creative expansion that bridges the personal and the collective. Emerging from deeply transformative experiences—beginning with his father’s illness at age 19, when music became both refuge and revelation—Freeman’s artistry has evolved from the raw honesty of his debut album Truth into a more mature, spiritually driven exploration of freedom, love, and authenticity.

Following a pandemic-induced pause that sparked introspection and renewal, he now prepares a series of ambitious projects for 2025–2026, including a new studio album (Gift in the Shadows), his film debut in The Hook, the philosophical feature Neon Soup, and a self-reflective documentary (How to Be a) FREE MAN. As co-founder of London’s JBJ Studio and creator of the Freedom Music Prize, Freeman channels his vision of art as a force for collective transformation. With an upcoming world tour designed as an “immersive and connective experience,” FREE/MAN continues to blur the lines between performance and healing, reminding audiences that music can be both a mirror and a path toward freedom.
