Country music singer-songwriter Brooke Moriber has unveiled her latest single, “So Do I,” a poignant reflection on the pain of a breakup and the hope that the lost love feels the same sense of loss. Co-written by Moriber, Jessica Cayne, and Karen Kosowski, the song captures the emotional depth of regret and longing with its beautiful melody and expressive lyrics.
The track begins with swirling, dreamy tones that set the stage for Moriber’s silky, evocative vocals. As the song progresses, her voice soars, infusing the lyrics with a haunting and nostalgic quality. The lines, “Movin’ on or wondering what went wrong / This bed feels empty at night and so do I / My friends keep asking me why and so I / Feeling like I won’t recover / Like there’ll never be another / And I wonder,” reveal Moriber’s raw emotional vulnerability.
“So Do I” showcases the skills of an impressive lineup of musicians, including Sol Littlefield on electric guitars, Marc Rogers on electric and synth bass, Justin Schipper on steel guitar, Chad Cromwell on drums, and Nathan Chapman on acoustic guitar, resonator guitar, and banjo. The track was produced by Karen Kosowski, mixed by Craig Alvin, and mastered by Greg Calbi, with engineering by David Kalmusky at Addiction Sound Studios and Kosowski at The Holodeck South in Nashville.
In addition to her music, Moriber recently hosted her “Nashville in New York” series at The Bitter End in NYC on July 20. Sponsored by Music Choice Network, the event featured performances by Callista Clark, Emily Shackelton, Averie Bielski, and Claire Wyndham, with special guest M.C. Kelly Ford.
Moriber’s journey began on Broadway and transitioned into songwriting as a teenager, a creative outlet she turned to while dealing with a rare eye disease. After her eyesight was saved, she released her debut single, “Cry Like A Girl,” and signed with Reviver Records. Last year, she released her self-titled debut album.
Brooke Moriber’s music has been featured on Spotify’s New Music Friday Country and Country Christmas playlists, Sirius XM’s Velvet, CMT online, Music Choice Network, and the Music Row Country Breakout radio chart. With “So Do I,” Moriber continues to explore the depths of love and loss, delivering a track thick with emotion and musical grace.
