Rising alt-rock duo BOYR!OT just dropped their second single “ALL THE BEST, JESS!” today through Venice Music. Produced by NKLAI (Haven Everly, FLASCH, Jennie B.) and mixed by Justin Hergett (Beyoncé, P!nk, and Green Day), “ALL THE BEST, JESS!” is a rage-filled summer anthem that will make you want to fight and dance and start a mosh pit. With inspiration taken from emo pop of the 2000’s (3OH!3, Metro Station) and adding modern electronic elements, this cathartic single about breaking free from an ex will make you feel like you’re at a rave and a rock show at the same time.
The track is followed by a fun and angsty music video filmed by Nas Bogado (G-Flip, Paris Jackson, and Lauren Sanderson) and features drummer Jess Goodwin and Constance Antoinette, the touring guitarist for Demi Lovato. BOYR!OT will be kicking off the release with a performance at the legendary Hotel Cafe in Hollywood on July 16th.
“ALL THE BEST, JESS!” follows the band’s debut single “MA!N CHARACTER”, which caught the attention of notable outlets like Entertainment Tonight and NME. Produced by industry heavy-hitter Marky Style (Flyana Boss and Royal & The Serpent), “MA!N CHARACTER” served as a powerful anthem for self-confidence and a go-to for summer Pride playlists. Blogs like Turn Up The Volume described the song as “a vitalizing pick-me-up thrill to start and end all summer parties with” and Modern Neon Media went so far as to call BOYR!OT “not just a band but a cultural force ready to make waves in the industry, captivating audiences with their rebellious spirit and undeniable talent.”
Los Angeles-based BOYR!OT is the newest sensation to hit the alternative music scene. Consisting of Greg Driscoll and Brendan Eprile, this dynamic duo is known for their powerful vocals and infectious energy. Drawing heavy inspiration from the 2000s pop punk/rock era, BOYR!OT skillfully melds nostalgia with modern hooks, creating a unique sound reminiscent of bands like Good Charlotte, 3OH!3, and My Chemical Romance.
BOYR!OT prides itself on making music for people who don’t fit into societal norms, specifically queer individuals who don’t fit into mainstream queer spaces. Their resonant sound and unapologetic attitude give a voice to the voiceless and provide a safe space for those who feel marginalized. Known for their ferocious sound and defiant spirit, BOYR!OT is more than just a band – they are a revolution that celebrates and empowers outliers.
