With more than 35 years of bringing Celtic music to life, the sibling-led band blends Irish traditions with folk, rock, country, and Americana on a deeply personal new release.
For more than three decades, Celtic Cross has been bringing the spirit of traditional Celtic music to audiences while carving out a distinctive sound that bridges generations and musical influences. Led by siblings Kathleen Fee, John Vesey, and Ken Vesey, the band continues to celebrate its Irish roots while embracing elements of folk, rock, country, and Americana.
Their latest EP, Meet Me in the Kitchen, released October 9, marks a particularly personal chapter in the band’s musical journey. Rooted in family traditions, Irish heritage, and the memories that connect generations, the project draws inspiration from the meaningful moments, shared experiences, and stories that shape family life. Through its music, Celtic Cross offers listeners a heartfelt reflection on the importance of heritage, belonging, and the connections that endure through time.
The EP also brings together an impressive collection of songwriting talent, featuring collaborations with acclaimed songwriter Marti Frederiksen, whose credits include work with Aerosmith, Ozzy Osbourne, and Carrie Underwood, alongside Grammy-winning songwriter Rebecca Lynn Howard, among others. These collaborations add further depth to a project that balances the band’s traditional Celtic foundations with a broader contemporary musical perspective.
Over the years, Celtic Cross has built an extensive performance history, appearing on notable stages including The Theater at Madison Square Garden and Joe’s Pub. With more than 35 years of experience, the band has continued to develop its sound while remaining connected to the cultural roots and family influences that first inspired its musical journey.
With Meet Me in the Kitchen, Celtic Cross brings those influences together in a collection that feels both deeply personal and universally relatable. It is a celebration of music, family, Irish heritage, and the memories that bring people together.
