It’s officially summertime, and the Snapcat Bandits have released the perfect anthem for the season, “Summer Days,” with both the single and video dropping on June 28, 2024. This simple, catchy pop-rock song grabs your attention and will have you singing along in no time.
Hailing from Detroit, Michigan, the Snapcat Bandits are Mike Krupinski (guitar, bass, vocals) and Melanie D. Marshall (drums). Despite forming just in 2023, the band has already made a significant impact in the rock music scene, garnering thousands of plays on music streaming platforms and YouTube.
Mike shares, “I wanted a song to represent what summer means to me: warm weather, the ocean, driving around in a convertible, being with friends, and hanging out with palm trees swaying in the background. Good times and good vibes are what summer is to me, and the song reflects that inspiration.”
The Snapcat Bandits are currently playing shows, and they have a performance on June 28, 2024, where they will debut “Summer Days” live for the first time. This performance also marks the beginning of their promotion cycle for their new EP, Anything and Nothing.
Looking ahead, Mike reveals, “We are in the early writing process of our yet-untitled third EP, set to release sometime next year. It’s time for us to really challenge ourselves as musicians and also challenge our listeners. The new songs will take a slight turn towards a more moody, dark feel, with a touch of anger. The guitars will tune down, the lyrical content is already exploring new topics, and the music as a whole will tell a new story from front to back.”
