idimilan has released his highly anticipated EP Thee, a project deeply rooted in the realities of contemporary Nigerian life and the personal battles faced by those chasing purpose amid adversity. Released on the 30th April 2026, the Afrobeat/Afrobeats release marks a bold statement from the fast-rising singer-songwriter.
Drawing directly from lived experience, the track Ayah from the EP confronts the challenges imposed by corrupt leadership and governance in Nigeria, while holding space for hope and the possibility of meaningful change. It explores how systemic issues exploit cultural values of respect, hard work, and obedience to elders, and envisions a future reset where leaders reflect on their responsibilities to build the nation and ensure security.
At its core, Thee is a meditation on pressure, survival, self-belief and staying authentic in the face of fake love, stress, loneliness, societal expectations and unrelenting ambition. It captures idimilan’s determination to protect his identity and peace of mind while pursuing greatness, delivering an overarching message of becoming undeniable even when the world doubts or misunderstands you.

The artist explains that living itself inspired the project, with each song carrying its own message born from specific moments in time. He expands the Afrobeats sound by incorporating his wide range of musical influences, treating the genre as a true expression of life’s experiences. The EP features prominent bass guitar elements and was recorded in his bedroom before being sent to the producer for finalisation. idimilan collaborated with both a producer and a co-writer on the project.
idimilan hopes listeners will feel seen, motivated, understood and energised. He aims for the music to resonate particularly with those carrying silent burdens, overthinking, stress, ambition or disappointment, offering them a soundtrack that articulates their inner world while providing the confidence to keep going, protect their peace, believe in themselves and hold firmly to their identity.
