That sense of evolution has been central to Violet Love’s musical journey. Originally from South Orange, New Jersey, the artist has lived across different parts of the United States and has spent much of her life immersed in music. She began playing at just eight years old and started writing, recording and performing in bands at 13.
Her path has taken her through a variety of musical worlds, including punk bands around Las Vegas and Denton, Texas, as well as an indie-folk band in Arizona. Those experiences have helped shape an artist who refuses to remain creatively fixed, instead using each chapter as an opportunity to explore new sounds, ideas and perspectives.
Now developing her solo project as Violet Love, she continues to embrace that spirit of experimentation and personal growth.
“I am constantly trying to evolve as a person and as an artist, always trying new things and developing my sound and style,” she says.
