Ramona Marx Release New Single ‘Seek The Day’: Hemel Hempstead punk quartet Ramona Marx have released their grinding, visceral new single ‘Seek The Day‘ on June 14th. Known for their high-octane sound and packed-out shows across the country, the band channels raw, pent-up aggression in this latest track.
‘Seek The Day’ is characterized by overdriven riffs, intense drumming, and biting, distorted vocals that deliver an indignant dissection of society and its rulers. The single captures the essence of the band’s explosive live performances. Produced by acclaimed producer Erik Miles, who has worked with artists like Soft Play, Baby Dave, Kate Nash, Lady Bird, and Hotwax, the track manages to retain a raw intensity while showcasing the band’s ability to bring clarity and direction to their raucous and expressive sound.
Speaking about the single, the band explained: “Life is a game filled with plastic smiles and empty promises. Those in power decide the cards we’re dealt and who is born to lose. ‘Seek the Day’ is a metaphor for this; master puppeteers leading lambs to the slaughterhouse. Welcome to the new order.” The single was recorded along with three other songs at the Forum recording studio in Kent and will feature on their upcoming EP.
The release is accompanied by a striking video created in collaboration with notable videographer Adam Docker, known for his work with Alice in Chains, Tyson Fury, Paolo Maldini, Tiger Woods, Deontay Wilder, Rio Ferdinand, and Jack O’Connell.
Ramona Marx have built a formidable reputation as a live band, playing notable festivals such as PennFest 2022 and Bish Bash Fest 2022.
