In Black, Patoranking confronts hard truths—self-hate, lack of support, and division among Black people. He calls out how the community often tears itself down instead of lifting each other up: “Black sold Black, Black scold Black… Black underrates Black.” But beyond pointing out the issues, he urges a change in mindset, asking, “If I don’t love you as my brother, what else do I want?”
