“Not Her” (Letter #2): A portrait of betrayal and longing, this track reflects on a partner who leaves for someone else but continues searching for echoes of the past relationship. It has since become Nia’s most-streamed release, cementing its resonance with listeners.
“Oh Sweet July” (Letter #3): Perhaps the most intimate of the series, this song recounts a breakup that fell on Nia’s 17th birthday in New York. The recurring refrain, “how could you do this to me?”, transforms private anguish into a universal cry of heartbreak.
“Cognitive Dissonance” (Letter #4): A psychological exploration of toxic love, it illustrates how fear and desire intertwine, often pulling one back into the orbit of a damaging relationship.

Beyond her music, Nia has created an anonymous space on her website where people can write unsent letters to their past, offering a pathway to reflection and closure. She also shares a personal newsletter, Get My Letters, which subscribers receive twice a month on the 7th, 17th and 27th.

“If you had asked me two years ago to share these personal letters with the world, I would have run the other way,” Nia shares. “But writing these songs has helped me finally say things I kept inside for too long. We’ve all got those unsent letters; maybe hearing mine will help others send theirs.”
