Darkoo – Like Dat : British-Nigerian sensation Darkoo is back with another infectious banger. Her new single, “Like Dat,” is bold, flirty, and impossible not to move to—a perfect follow-up to her recent track “Focus On Me (All The Sexy Girls In The Club).” Produced by the trio Sparbz, Enzo, and French, this one’s packed with the kind of energy that keeps dance dancefloors alive and playlists on repeat.

Darkoo first made major waves in 2019 with her breakout hit “Gangsta” featuring One Acen, and later with “Favourite Girl.” Since then, she’s been steadily building her rep as one of the most exciting voices in Afro-swing. “Like Dat” only cements that.

The track is smooth and magnetic, with Darkoo’s laid-back yet captivating vocals gliding over a beat that blends Afrobeats, dancehall, and pop in just the right way. Lyrically, it’s confident and romantic without trying too hard. Lines like “I like the things you do / Girl, I’ll be good for you” feel lighthearted but intimate — a vibe that hits just right whether you’re dancing with someone or just vibing alone.

What really makes “Like Dat” shine is how it blends Darkoo’s Lagos roots with her London upbringing. That cultural duality gives her music a unique texture — one that fans have loved since her 2021 EP 2 In 1. The music video, directed by Sam Fallover, is just as vibrant as the track itself. It’s stylish, high-energy, and a perfect visual match to the song’s flirty feel.

Since dropping, “Like Dat” has been buzzing online, with fans praising its feel-good rhythm and catchy lyrics. It’s also another reminder of Darkoo’s knack for collaborations and her growing influence — she’s already shared the mic with heavyweights like Rema, Tion Wayne, and Ayra Starr.

With “Like Dat,” Darkoo once again proves she’s not just riding the Afrobeats wave — she’s helping shape it.
