Bronx-born, multi-platinum artist Lil Tjay and Chicago-based rap sensation Polo G have joined forces once again for their highly anticipated new single, “Way Out The Hood II.” The track serves as a follow-up to Tjay’s October release, “Way Out The Hood,” featuring a fresh verse from Polo G. Accompanied by an official music video available HERE, the single highlights the undeniable chemistry between these longtime collaborators.
Lil Tjay and Polo G’s history of collaborations spans several years, starting with their iconic 8x Platinum hit “Pop Out” from Polo G’s Die A Legend album. Their joint efforts have since included tracks like “Suicide” from Polo G’s Hall of Fame 2 and “Headshot” with Fivio Foreign on Tjay’s Destined 2 Win, as well as 2023’s “Beat The Odds Pt 2” on Tjay’s 222.
In October, Tjay brought Polo G on stage at his sold-out show at London’s O2 Arena during his Past 2 Present Tour in Europe, celebrating the fifth anniversary of his double Platinum debut album, True 2 Myself. The tour spanned eight cities, including Amsterdam, Oslo, and Paris, ending in Berlin, marking another milestone in Tjay’s remarkable career.
Tjay’s debut project, True 2 Myself, featuring collaborations with Lil Baby, Lil Durk, and Lil Wayne, debuted at No. 5 on the Billboard 200 in 2019, cementing his place in the music industry. In 2023 and beyond, he’s continued to deliver hits like “Took A While (Be Us),” “Legacy,” and “Let It Go Baby.”
Meanwhile, Polo G has solidified his reputation as a versatile rapper with multi-platinum albums and singles. From his breakout 2019 debut Die a Legend to his chart-topping projects The Goat and Hall of Fame, Polo G’s influence continues to grow. His latest work, including the 2024 single “Angels in the Sky,” sets the stage for his fourth studio album, Hood Poet.
