Kanye West, JAY-Z, and Rihanna are amongst the list of personalities recognized as billionaires on Forbes list. The superstars made Forbes’ World’s Billionaires list for 2022, ranking among the 2,668 billionaires across the globe.
According to the list, Ye ranked 1,513 last year, more than 200 spots higher than where he was this year.It is largely due to his lucrative partnerships with adidas and Gap that he has amassed his $2 billion fortune.
Ye, on the other hand, claims the number is too low and that his actual worth is closer to $7 billion.Apparently, the rap tycoon feels Forbes is trying to control and diminish him even at the price of their own integrity.Kim Kardashian, the ex-wife of Kanye West, is also included on the list at No. 1,645, falling 1,000 places from her 2021 ranking.
Barbados’ first billionaire, Rihanna, earns her first entry on the billionaires list at No. 1,729 ($1.7 billion), thanks to her Fenty Beauty cosmetics line and Savage X Fenty lingerie business.
Hip-hop’s first billionaire, JAY-Z, follows at No. 2,076. His $1.4 billion fortune includes his Roc Nation empire and the 2021 sales of his Armand de Brignac champagne to LVMH and TIDAL to Square, Inc.
The top 5 includes Warren Buffet (No. 5, $118 billion), Bill Gates (No. 4, $129 billion), Bernard Arnault (No. 3, $158 billion), Jeff Bezos (No. 2, $171 billion), and Elon Musk, who tops the list for the first time with $219 billion.
