Northampton garage rock risers Fountain release the anticipated new EP ‘Talking To Ghosts’ (November 15th).

Released just ahead of the duo’s upcoming UK headline tour, the new EP highlights the bands ability to craft driven, high-octane and yet commercially attuned tracks which capture the energy and intensity of their live shows.

Produced by acclaimed producer and mixing engineer Lee Russell, the EP brings both infectious melodies and soundscapes which jump between vibrant fuzzy rock riffs whilst bringing a Black keys-esque blues-rock flair. Topping the punching drums and distorted guitar tones, the charismatic and melodic lead vocal delivers stirring vocal performances and thoughtful, often relatable lyricism.

Talking about the new EP, the duo explain: “Recorded over the course of 4 months at Lee Russell’s ‘Dulcetone’ studio, inside a chapel, Talking to Ghosts is a story of death and rebirth, bidding farewell to times that passed, whilst welcoming new beginnings; and being in conversation with both sides.”

Formed in 2023, Fountain has rapidly captured the attention of both fans and industry professionals alike. Their debut headline show sold out in advance, and their first summer festival performances in 2024 made waves. Already featured as BBC Introducing’s track of the week gain acclaim from the likes of New Noise, Earmilk and Backseat Mafia, and played on BBC Radio 6, the band has quickly cemented themselves as one to watch ahead of their upcoming debut EP.

Inspired by rock giants like The Black Keys, IDLES, White Stripes, and Queens of the Stone Age, Fountain blends infectious riffs and electric energy with emotionally resonant lyrics to create a sound which is at once high octane and melodic. The upcoming EP ‘Talking To Ghosts’ showcases the band’s journey so far and highlights the completeness of their sound despite being a fresh and new name.
