Los Angeles-based singer-songwriter Erika Weber has released her new album, Love It Or Lose It, a personal collection of songs inspired by love, heartbreak, self-doubt and the importance of staying true to yourself. The title captures the message behind the record: accept me for who I am, or let me be.
Written over the past two and a half years, the album reflects a period of change in Erika’s life as she navigated romantic relationships, questioned her self-worth and found strength in the friendships that kept her grounded. Each song captures a different moment along the way, offering listeners a glimpse into the experiences and emotions that have shaped her in her mid-twenties.
For Erika, the album is about being honest with herself, even when life feels uncertain. It explores the balance between hope and self-doubt, while recognising the people who remind us that we are enough just as we are. Rather than trying to meet everyone else’s expectations, Love It Or Lose It encourages listeners to embrace who they are and set boundaries with those who cannot accept them.
“This is an album of pure self expression and the navigation of the uncertainty, hope, and self doubt of your mid-twenties, along with the friendships that keep you grounded, and remind you that who you are is more than enough,” Erika says.
The album also marks a new chapter in her musical journey. Having previously worked on self-produced projects, Erika teamed up with producer Joshua Valel Thomas to develop a more polished sound while keeping the personal storytelling at the heart of her music. Her songs combine acoustic instrumentation with pop percussion, creating a sound that feels accessible while leaving room for the lyrics to speak for themselves.
One of the key tracks, ‘Dance With Me’, captures this approach particularly well. Built around an acoustic foundation and driven by pop rhythms, the song offers an easy, enjoyable listen while giving listeners more to discover beneath the surface.
The album’s artwork reflects the different emotions running through the record, exploring how people can present one side of themselves to the world while privately experiencing something entirely different. Erika takes a playful, relaxed approach to the visuals, allowing the project’s personality to come through without overcomplicating its message.
Erika Weber is originally from Seattle, Washington, and is now based in Los Angeles, California. She has spent more than two decades writing music, drawing inspiration from artists such as Stevie Nicks, Carole King and Amy Winehouse, whom she admires for their individuality and commitment to personal storytelling. Sheryl Crow, Taylor Swift and Kelly Clarkson have also influenced her musical tastes.
With Love It Or Lose It, Erika brings together years of songwriting experience and a new collaborative approach to production. The result is a record rooted in real experiences, with songs about relationships, friendship, personal growth and learning to feel comfortable in your own skin.
As she looks ahead, Erika plans to continue working with Joshua Valel Thomas, building new songs from their earliest stages of lyrics, melodies and chord arrangements. For now, Love It Or Lose It offers a candid look at where she is in life and a reminder that being yourself should never require someone else’s approval.

About Erika Weber
Erika Weber is a singer songwriter originally from Seattle, Washington and now based in Los Angeles, California. She is a solo artist whose music has centred on acoustic instrumentation, expressive pop percussion, and lyric driven storytelling. Across her songs, she has explored love, friendship, and the work of understanding who you are while moving through the world.
Her writing has been shaped by Stevie Nicks, Carole King, and Amy Winehouse, artists she has cited as her big three because of the way they carved their own path while staying true to personal storytelling. She has also pointed to Sheryl Crow, Taylor Swift, and Kelly Clarkson among the wider names she responds to, alongside the pop, indie pop, and singer songwriter spaces she works in.
Weber had been writing music for over two decades and had released previous self produced projects before this record, which she says is the first time she has worked with a producer to shape a more polished sound. Next, she plans to make music from scratch with Joshua Valel Thomas, starting with lyrics, melody, and chord arrangements already in place.
