Amanda Joy opens up about the song’s unexpected origins: “This was purely out of emotion and I never planned to release it,” she shares. “But when Joe and Matt asked if I had any vocal ideas, I sent it to them without hesitation or expectations.”
That off-the-cuff demo quickly evolved into something special. “When Amanda sent me the demo, I knew we had something,” says Joe. “It was so much fun chopping her vocals and finding ways to really let her voice shine.” For Matt, the track marked a shift in direction. “It was exciting to step out of our comfort zone and create something more lyrically focused and sentimental,” he adds.
Built around warm garage beats and aching vulnerability, “Heart Already Broken” feels both timeless and fresh, anchored by Amanda’s voice and wrapped in Crumb Pit’s signature groove. The duo, made up of producer Matt Barri and rapper Jorlov, continue to carve a space for themselves in the UKG and electronic scenes with each release adding new layers to their story.
