Berthold Kusserow has released his new single, “Feel The Rain,” alongside an accompanying music video on October 2, 2026. Blending soft rock and progressive rock, the song reflects on the emotional impact of the Corona crisis, addressing grief, anger, guilt and regret while holding on to the hope of healing and reconciliation.

Although the music carries an energetic and uplifting feel, the lyrics explore the difficult experiences many people faced during the crisis. Kusserow dedicates the song to those who lost loved ones, struggled with illness, experienced isolation or continue to carry emotional wounds from that period. He also acknowledges the children who missed out on years of carefree childhood and those who look back on their words and actions with regret.

Rather than focusing only on pain, “Feel The Rain” looks toward the possibility of moving forward. The rain serves as a metaphor for washing away some of that hurt, healing what has been broken and finding a way to come together again.

For Kusserow, the song is also an opportunity to recognise that people experienced the crisis in different ways, with some still dealing with its emotional consequences. Its message invites listeners to reflect on those experiences and consider the importance of understanding, compassion and healing.

As he explains, “Music can be a healer. I hope that this song will help just a little bit to heal wounds that still hurt and to make whole what was broken.”

Written in A minor and set at 90 beats per minute, “Feel The Rain” brings together its reflective subject matter and an uplifting rock arrangement. The single was released through MusicHub, with cover artwork created by Siofra Millem.

With “Feel The Rain,” Kusserow offers a song dedicated to those affected by the Corona crisis and a reminder that, even after painful experiences, the hope of healing and rebuilding connections remains.

Berthold Kusserow – Feel The Rain

My name is Berthold Kusserow. I am an independent songwriter from Frankfurt, Germany, crafting heartfelt, handmade songs with rich harmonies and thoughtful lyrics, inspired by timeless 70s/80s soft rock classics. My music has been featured in several playlists and radio shows worldwide. Since the late 70s, I have performed my music in a number of bands, including “Construction” and most recently the “Sound Wizzards”, both in the Frankfurt area.

In my music I like to tell stories from everyday life which everyone can relate to. Over the last two years, I have developed a unique style and sound, which I have further refined by way of collaboration with artists/producers in Rome (Dani Macchi), Paris (Etienne Pelosoff) and in the greater Munich area (“Hubi” Hofmann).
