The art of making movies in Nigeria is about to be revitalized as Basement Africa Productions in conjunction with Basement Africa Film Academy present the second season of its hit Basement Search Reality TV Show: The Filmmakers Edition 2.0. This exciting show promises to produce and showcase the best talents while promoting reward and creating value for originality from the contestants with outstanding talents in the movie industry.
The unique talent show which has notable Nollywood celebrities; including Veteran actor and director Sam Dede, Nosa Rex, David Ogbeni, Junior Pope and multiple award-winning actress Patience Ozokwor; among others, as judges in the 10 cities where auditions will take place.
Streaming live 24/7 on TSTV and Basement Africa TV, while daily highlights of the show will be aired on Rave TV and Hip TV,
the auditions will kickoff at Wellington Hotel, Warri, Ediz Wine Bar, Port Harcourt, Luxury City Hotel Aba, Bongo Square International Conference Center, Owerri, X-Fit Event Centre, Awka, Ofuobi African Cultural Center, Enugu, Hexagon Benin, Golden Tulip Hotel, Ibadan, Grand Cubana Hotel, Abuja and Vienna Hotel, Asaba, between March 26 and April 24, 2021, in adherence with strict COVID-19 guidelines.
According to the CEO of Basement Africa, Engr. Okiemute Onos, ”For six weeks, in a secluded mansion in 24 hours live show, which will air on Tstv and the basement App, fans will experience a world-class show that will rebrand television experience in Nigeria and across Africa. Aspiring actors and actresses should jump on this golden opportunity to actualise their dreams of becoming Nollywood celebrities”.To be a part of this titillating experience, all intending participants will have to be 18 years of age and above with a passion for movie-making to impress the show’s judges at the audition venues to qualify as housemates, where 30 successful contestants will slug it out in an intriguing, exciting and adventurous showdown, for a total prize worth N25 million.
Contestants in the long run will be required to share online generated links with their family and friends to canvass for votes and after gathering the highest votes from viewers who will be allowed to chose their winners by voting through several channels, including a short code that will be created, a lucky winner will emerge.What are you waiting for?
