Annie Dressner is set to release a powerful new music video for her single ‘For The Thrill Of It’ on YouTube on March 13th. The video features women in the music industry and aims to share an important message.

Although she had already released a fun and light-hearted video for the single, Annie felt it did not properly represent the song’s deeper message. In response, she reached out to her network of women in music to create a new version. This updated video includes 46 women in music, such as Thea Gilmore, Emma Tricca, The Baby Seals (Kerry, Amy, and Kate as individuals), Michele Stodart, Bella Hardy, Holly Carter, Lady Nade, Lauren Housley, and many more (full list provided below).

Speaking about the single, Dressner shares a deeply important message drawn from her own experiences: “The message in the lyrics addresses the pervasive issue of misogyny in the music industry, where inappropriate behavior too often goes unaddressed or overlooked. The song aims to inspire positive change in attitudes toward women in music and encourage women to feel safe in speaking out”. Even without the serious undertones—”when you’re near we should run, run, run”—the song stands on its own.”
