ANDRO – A Little Harder: ANDRO announces the new EP ‘BROKEN LIMERENCE’ and shares the shimmering new single ‘A LITTLE HARDER’ (May 22nd). A bold step forward in his solo artistry, the release blends cinematic soundscapes with intimate lyrical depth as ANDRO navigates themes of queer love, relationships and personal experiences, ultimately delivering a singular voice and vision.
Co-produced by Rusty Bradshaw (Florence + the Machine), the single highlights more of the emotion driven, 80s infused soul-pop which has seen ANDRO acclaimed to date. With a number of successes to date, including having been chosen by PRS Foundations new platform POWER UP to boost the profiles of artists of colour in the UK music industry, ANDRO’s solo career comes following a 7 year run as a part of acclaimed Brit Award Winning, Mercury Nominated band JUNGLE.
Opening with a swell of guitar, synth, swaying beats and warming bass, the track quickly creates a sultry, melancholic tone around ANDRO’s emotive, soaring vocals. Growing into the layered vocals of the chorus, the track introduces its infectiously catchy main melody. Radiating musicality, the track pays homage to the neo-soul roots of ANDRO’s time performing with Jungle, whilst showcasing the Pop and R&B influences that define his signature sound.
Speaking about the track, Andro explains: “A Little Harder is about emotional whiplash – that kind of intense, confusing relationship where love feels weaponised. It touches on vulnerability, betrayal, and how giving too much of yourself too soon can backfire. There’s anger here, yeah, but also heartbreak and a longing. Someone told me they were in love with me and used it against me when I wasn’t ready.”
Following a 7 year run as a part of acclaimed band JUNGLE, which saw him perform across the globe including headline slots at Alexandra Palace, Glastonbury Festival and Coachella as well as appearances across UK and US TV including Stephen Colbert Show, Late Night with Seth Meyers and BBC’s Later with Jools Holland, ANDRO has established himself as an excited up and coming solo artist in his own right. With widespread press support from the likes of Wonderland, Clash, Earmilk, Atwood, Notion and TMRW Mag, as well as radio play from Reprezent, Pie Radio, and across BBC Radio and BBC Introducing (Introducing London’s Featured Artist Of the Week), ANDRO has already cemented himself as one to watch.
