Kendrick Lamar dominated the 2025 GRAMMY Awards, making history with his record-breaking single “Not Like Us.” The explosive diss track earned him five major wins, including Record of the Year and Song of the Year, marking the first time a diss track has ever taken home these prestigious honors.

The track, which fueled one of hip-hop’s most talked-about feuds, also secured Best Rap Song, Best Rap Performance, and Best Music Video, proving its undeniable cultural and artistic impact.

Lamar’s victories were part of a historic night for Black artists, with Beyoncé finally claiming Album of the Year for Cowboy Carter. For the first time ever, Black musicians swept the GRAMMYs’ three biggest categories, signaling a shift in how the academy acknowledges the influence of hip-hop and R&B.

In his acceptance speech, Kendrick highlighted rap’s power as a storytelling force, declaring:
“At the end of the day, nothing is more powerful than rap music. We are the culture—it’s gonna always stay here and live forever.”

His win is not just a personal triumph but a milestone for the recognition of hip-hop on the global stage. The 2025 GRAMMYs will be remembered as a defining moment in music history, proving that rap’s influence is stronger than ever.
