Beatific emerges as an artist who not only defies musical boundaries but also embraces challenges as stepping stones.

In this interview with Beatific, we delved into the artist’s unique style that effortlessly weaves together genres like indie rock, electro, and EDM, while maintaining an unwavering emotional core, how he navigates the challenges that come with being an indie musician, transforming setbacks into stepping stones towards growth.

The interview also unveils Beatific’s latest project, a live music video for their single ‘Computer,’ where artificial intelligence intersects with artistry to create a truly unique experience. As we peer into the future, hear firsthand about Beatific’s aspirations, from his recent sync deal to the dreams of a record label partnership and the boundless horizons that await.

Join us in this intimate conversation as we uncover the layers of Beatific’s musical odyssey, his influences, challenges, and aspirations that continue to shape his captivating journey.

Can you tell us about your journey as an indie musician? What inspired you to pursue a career in music?

I always wanted to be a Musician. When I was five, I saw Kiss with exploding pyrotechnics on a TV show, and that pretty much set the course of my career.

How would you describe your unique style and sound as an artist? What sets you apart from other musicians?

I would say our seamless and fluid blend and transitions between indie rock, electro, EDM, singer, songwriter, and any other genre that we are feeling passionate about at the time. As long as there is a commitment to excellence, we are fluid in our genres yet maintain a thorough line with our emotional content and vocals. I think that is what sets us apart.

Could you share some of the biggest challenges you’ve faced as an indie musician and how you overcame them?

The biggest struggle is definitely how we experience the world’s response to the art. That set me back for a few years. But once I realized that it is all about being in the creative flow, and the process and journey of making and creating music, all those things dissipated.

What is your creative process like? How do you approach songwriting and composing music?

I try to get out of my own way and let the song come naturally through my subconscious. Once that happens, I chart it out and bring it to the band and any co-producers, and we bring it to life together.

Are there any particular themes or messages that you aim to convey through your music? What inspires your lyrics?

I try to cover broad themes like sex, death, God, drugs, and life as a human.

Tell us about your latest project.

We recently released a live music video for our single ‘Computer’ here: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=XJ95b3eCXPc

Since the track is about the relationship between computers and humans, we thought it would be cheeky and fun to use AI to augment the choruses.

What are your long-term goals as an indie musician? Where do you see yourself and your music in the next few years?

I would love to see the momentum with our recent sync deal signing with MNRK Records carrying us through to a record label deal, and subsequent release of our next record supported by that label.  The sky is the limit after that!
