Nissi – Gravity feat Major League Djz: Nigerian pop and Afrojazz artist, Nissi Ogulu popularly known as Nissi has collaborated with the internationally renowned Amapiano duet, Major League Djz, to release a stunning new single titled “Gravity,” which is accompanied by equally resplendent visuals.
‘Gravity’ is a sensual jam that pairs Nissi’s majestic vocals with the smoothest percussion, all while being underpinned by a typically infectious, amapiano-infused production that we have come to expect from the South African twins. The sound is true to the track title, and the official video features Nissi and her crew dancing above the clouds and under the sea.
‘Gravity’ is Nissi’s inaugural release of the year, following closely behind her 2020 debut EP ‘Ignite’ and 2021’s ‘Hold’ and ‘Ready Or Not’, which were produced in collaboration with the dynamic London rapper BackRoad Gee. Nissi characterizes “Gravity” as “a song that feels entirely natural to me.” The first batch of beats that Major League Djz sent to me was the one that stood out to me.
The instrumental resonated with a fantasy in my mind of being in a space with a single person who always brings the right energy, thereby lifting you out of any low mood. You can essentially escape to a place where you feel as though you can do or feel anything, and this sensation continues to improve. I aspire for this record to elevate the mood of all listeners, irrespective of their current activities.

The Afrojazz singer’s cross-cultural sound is a reflection of the course she has taken in life, as it blends both African and European influences. Nissi has held exhibitions in Paris, London, Los Angeles, and Lagos, where she recently presented her “Puzzled” showcase, a celebration of African culture and vibrancy on jigsaw palettes. She also runs her own art & animation company, Creele Studio, and has always had a long-standing passion for painting.
