Fast rising multi-talented UK based songstress Jade Moss, has continuously proved that hard work and consistency is the key to a successful career. The go-getter and serial entrepreneur who has left behind footprints in the sand of time Keeps when in the fashion industry joined us on today’s episode SM interview where she fielded questions from us concerning her forthcoming EP and her new single ‘Hey babe’.

Jade Moss, who keeps waxing strong everyday recently released her single ‘Hey Babe‘, which talks about true love in a disposable and shallow world and about meeting someone new and making it clear to be careful how they play their cards when they have a queen in their hands. The new single ‘Hey Babe’ was written by Jade, composed by Milano-based musician Etto and arranged and mixed by Vito de Luca from Aeroplane in Brussels. 1. Can you briefly introduce yourself for the benefit of those who don’t know you telling us what or who inspired you to be a part of the music industry?

My name is Jade moss, I’m a singer songwriter, but before I became a full time Artist, i worked in the world of fashion and textiles for 12 years. I actually started my fashion label very young, at age 18. My designs got the attention of high street stores, I opened concessions in Topshop, wholesaled to ASOS and many other well known retailers. I also went on to open two London boutiques and a sample factory. My daughter-Blue was born September 2017 and I felt inspired to write. A catchy melody and lyrics would get stuck in my head, when I was bathing her or just singing her to sleep.

I had always been able to sing, since I was little, but I wasn’t interested in using my voice until Blue was born.

2. As an entrepreneur in the world of fashion and textiles. How do you balance your business with your music career?

I’m now a full time signed artist, so I no longer work in fashion

3. What motivated your new single ‘Hey Babe?

It actually came about when my mum, who looks super young, was getting chatted up by a man half her age in a post office queue..she said I’m old enough to be your mother your barking up the wrong tree. Hahah

So after she told me, I got a little melody in my head and I sang it into my phone. So it definitely started with the chorus, then the rest followed.

4. In your words “The music that you write is about your experiences with love, joy, strength and the importance of self-worth”. Do you think that the kind of music that you make always have a positive or negative impact on your listeners?

I think music should always have an impact. An impact is really important one way or another, But i would like to think my message is always much more positive and inspiring, than negative.

5. You have an upcoming EP titled ‘only you’ that is slated to be released by April this year. What should your fans expect from the EP?

Well I’m soooo excited about my EP release, I think this EP will be a big surprise for everyone . It’s a mixed bag of Hope, self worth, strength and of course, a big sad love song.

I think that “Hey Babe” is a fun, tongue-in-cheek little opener, to me as a artist, but my EP has some very emotionally charged songs, songs I’m really proud of, and I believe will show that I’m a credible artist.

6. What is music to you and how can you explain the kind of music that you make?

Music to me is an expression of creativity, something completely unique to oneself, like a finger print. The music I write is real and from my heart, I write about my real life lessons and sometimes painful experiences, that made me a stronger women. I hope people will be able to feel a connection or evoke some sort of emotion in them when listening.

7. How do you interact and respond to your fans?

I’m pretty new still, but I think people get the most interaction from me by following my journey on instagram ive also been invited to do lots of BBC radio interviews and podcasts.

8. Do you have any hobbies or interests outside of music?

I obviously still love fashion, I think it’s in my blood now, but I also really love travelling, cooking, eating boxing and swimming

9. What is the biggest problem that you have encountered in the journey of music and how were you able to resolve the problem?

It can be a cold and calculating industry and I think you really have to have your wits about you. It’s important to always research everything so you know what your doing and what your signing into. I feel like I have a team of people who genuinely care and believe in me now.

10. What message would you like to give to your fans and supporters?
