For years, Brian Elodi wrote songs quietly, sharing them only with close friends and family. Now, for the first time, he is opening that private world to listeners everywhere with the release of his debut full-length album.
The 13-track project didn’t start out as something big. It began after the birth of his daughter, when Elodi looked back on years of unfinished ideas and personal recordings. He decided to capture them properly, almost as a gift for her one day, a way for her to hear his voice, his thoughts, and the music that shaped parts of his life.
As he worked through the material, the project began to grow. A turning point came when he met Washington, D.C. producer and musician Ben. Together, they reshaped the recordings, adding depth and structure while keeping the raw, personal feeling intact. What started as a simple collection of songs slowly turned into a full and carefully built album.
Musically, the record draws inspiration from artists like Bon Iver, Iron and Wine, and The Lumineers. It lives in the world of indie folk and singer-songwriter music, but it doesn’t feel like imitation. Elodi uses storytelling in a distinctive way, often building songs around fictional characters that carry very real emotions. It’s a writing style he has developed over nearly three decades.
His journey as a musician has also shifted over time. In his early years, he played heavier styles of music, but later moved toward acoustic sounds and more stripped-back arrangements. That change brought a more direct and conversational approach to his writing, where emotion and honesty sit at the center.

The album also carries a personal family touch beyond the music itself. The artwork was created by his wife, tying the project even closer to his home life.
“My three-year-old daughter thinks I’m famous because that’s what I told her,” Elodi says, laughing. “She sings the songs better than I do.”
Now, after years of staying mostly behind the scenes, Brian Elodi is finally sharing his music with the world in a way he never has before.
