Now based in Nashville, he serves as the Cincinnati coordinator for the Nashville Songwriters Association International (NSAI), sharing stages with indie and Americana talent at iconic venues like The Bluebird Café and The Listening Room.
His 2023 debut album, Or Something Like That…, introduced audiences to his warm, rootsy sound, setting the foundation for his next project: Absalom—a concept album inspired by a forgotten 19th-century cemetery discovered near his Tennessee home. Working alongside fellow songwriters and local historians, Lenahan helped uncover the site’s hidden history, channeling its stories into songs like the haunting title track “Absalom” and “Father of Peace,” both of which have been named Top 10 finalists in the World Songwriting Awards.
Produced by Grammy-winner Alan Sanderson (Fleetwood Mac, Michael Jackson, Fiona Apple), Absalom was recorded in San Diego and features a roster of acclaimed collaborators, including Jessica Nixon, Taylin Rae, and Norm McDonald. Alongside “Baby I’m Gone,” the album includes standouts like “Die On This Barstool,” “First,” and “Faces in the Glow.”
