After serving three years and eight months in prison, the rapper has dropped RIO FREE, a ten-track project that highlights his gritty storytelling and unwavering resilience. The album features the viral hit “RIO FREE” and fan-favorite “WYDT,” both of which have dominated streaming platforms, with “RIO FREE” surpassing 35 million streams in under a month.
Rio’s comeback is further amplified by a sold-out Welcome Back show at Detroit’s Masonic Temple on January 12. He’s also kicking off a massive 41-date Rio Da Yung OG Welcome Home U.S. tour, which will take him through major cities like Los Angeles, Chicago, Houston, and NYC before concluding in Flint on April 5.
