India’s music market is rapidly growing, and Sony Music Group is seizing this opportunity with strategic moves. In the latest development, Sony Music Entertainment (SME) India has partnered with Mumbai-based film and web series production company Maddock Films to produce an array of music projects, including film soundtracks and indie pop singles.
This exciting collaboration kicks off with the soundtrack for the highly anticipated Hindi film “Chhava,” starring Vicky Kaushal and Rashmika Mandanna, featuring music by the legendary A.R. Rahman. Additionally, Sony and Maddock have announced plans for the soundtracks of upcoming dramas such as “Diler,” featuring Ibrahim Ali Khan, and “Ikkis,” starring Agastya Nanda, with music by the popular duo Sachin-Jigar.
The partnership also includes soundtracks for “Luka Chhupi 2,” “Sector 36” starring Vikrant Massey, “Sarvagunn Sampan” featuring Vaani Kapoor, and “Rumi Ki Sharafat” starring Radhika Madan. These projects highlight the dynamic range and ambition of the collaboration.

This move underscores Sony’s commitment to expanding its influence and fostering musical talent in one of the world’s most vibrant and fastest-growing markets.
With this collaboration, Sony Music Entertainment India and Maddock Films are set to redefine the landscape of Indian music and film, bringing memorable and impactful music experiences to audiences worldwide.
