Truenemy is back with a thrashy, three-and-a-half-minute rocker, “Saturation Point”.The overall vibe of the song harkens back to the Rust In Peace era Megadeth lineup, a major influence on front man Paul Vuocolo’s guitar playing and songwriting. “Saturation Point” is the follow-up to Truenemy’s very well received, “Midnight Train” single.
Truenemy is the hard rock / metal project from Southeast, Michigan and mastermind of Paul Vuocolo (vocals/guitar). The music and lyrics of “Saturation Point” were co-written with Paul’s nephew, Nick Slayton. In addition, Nick’s original handwritten lyrics along with his brother Chris’ original hand drawn sketch have been cleverly incorporated into the single artwork. Guest musician, Keun Lee, demonstrates his lead guitar virtuosity on the song as well.
Vuocolo says, “‘Saturation Point” is one of the first songs I ever wrote and performed with my first band (Sloth) and comes from a place of angst in my late teens. In scientific terms, saturation point is when no more of a substance can be absorbed or accepted. In this case, the lyrics are written from the point of view of a person who can no longer tolerate a person in their life’s constant and self-righteous complaining about the people or things that are keeping them down. The complainer is resolved to just that, and takes no responsibility for their situation – resulting in the tolerant one going off as they’ve reached their psychological saturation point.”
