‘Essence’ By Wizkid Makes Rolling Stone’s Best Songs of 2021 List. Another award is coming from the direction of Wizkid today, as his worldwide smash hit Essence was deemed to be the most popular track from 2021 Rolling Stone in a list that was released today.

RollingStone have recently published their top songs of 2021. At the top of that list is the legendary The Essence of Nigerian superstar Wizkid. The list was published on Monday, 6th December 2021.

Essence which is widely hailed by many as “the song of the summer,” is a track off of Wizkid’s “Made In Lagos album which came out in the year 2020. The afro-pop track, which features the talented Nigerian singer Tems it is a calming middle-tempo track that has dominated the music scene globally.

In addition to this latest feat, Essence has previously achieved a number of milestones, including achieving the top 10 spots in the Billboard Hot 100 (making it the top-ranking African song to ever appear on the charts) with more than 60 million stream through Apple Music, entering the US Apple Music top 10 as the first African song to achieve this in addition to other records.
