Adrenaline‑charged hard rock band Kings County returns June 19, 2026, with their explosive new single “What Now”. It’s a track born from real‑life upheaval, sharpened by experience, and rebuilt for 2026 with a modern, aggressive edge.
Kings County is Rob Dexter (Vocals, Bass), Steve Bell (Guitars, Vocals), Joe Lopez (Drums), Bill Kania (Guitars, Vocals) and Robbie Dexter (bass).
Rob says, “One thing I’ve noticed when writing lyrics and addressing subject matters is when you write about real life situations, the listener seems to relate to it more because many may have been through that exact situation. Our song “What Now” is that real life occurrence when relationships go bad and how you make it to the other side a stronger, better person.”
Originally demo-ed years ago, the track sat untouched until the band revisited it this year with a fresh perspective. Super Producer/Engineer Chuck Alkazian, owner of Pearl Sound Studios, helped rebuild the song into a heavier, more urgent version of itself fusing aggressive guitars and a sharpened modern production style that finally matches the vision they had from the beginning.
The band has also undergone its own evolution. “About a year ago,” Rob says, “my 20-year-old son Robbie showed interest in playing an instrument. He seemed to gravitate towards the bass. After a few months giving him playing tips, he was playing songs that would have taken me way longer to master when I first started. He played his first show with us last summer in front of 1000 people and he killed it. Nothing wrong with injecting a little youth into the lineup.”
Kings County continues to expand their creative reach behind the camera as well. While recent videos were produced by professional crews, they returned to their DIY roots for the “What Now” video, shooting it themselves on a Tampa, FL soundstage. With self‑taught production skills, a strong vision, and a focus on lighting and atmosphere, Rob captured an electric performance video in just 10 hours. “It’s amazing what you can do with a decent camera and a vision. I’ve always had a passion for creating, directing and editing our music videos and I was on a mission to make this one great. Shooting a performance video is way easier to create. I’m super happy how the video came out, great visuals, great energy.”
2026 has already been a milestone year for Kings County. Following the successful delivery of their hard‑rock cover of INXS’s “Don’t Change,” they have another new single nearly complete with Alkazian. Kings County will also continue performing throughout the Southeast U.S. for the remainder of the year.
