Davno Clives – My Bunny: Rising Afrobeats artist Davno Clives will release his highly anticipated album “My Bunny“, a deeply personal and emotional dedication to a very special person in his life. Designed as a Valentine’s Day gift, “My Bunny” is a musical love letter, blending catchy Afrobeats rhythms with heartfelt lyrics and vibrant melodies. It’s an album that speaks to the joys, emotions, and beauty of love, offering listeners an intimate window into the artist’s world and his adoration for the woman who inspires him.

From the very first track, it’s clear that My Bunny is all about one person, the woman Davno lovingly refers to as “Bunny.” The album, a mosaic of love songs, explores different facets of their relationship, each track painting a unique aspect of his emotions and admiration. With songs like “Crazy Love”, “Ni Mrembo” (showcasing her elegance in Swahili), and “Beautiful Beautiful” (a tribute to her amazing self), Davno Clives lets his heart guide the creation of each tune, capturing the intensity of emotions he feels for his muse.

The track “Usifiche Iyo Smile,” which translates to “Don’t hide that smile,” highlights one of the most endearing qualities of his love: her radiant smile. Meanwhile, “Nampenda Mpenda…” draws inspiration from a playful childhood game they used to play in Kenya, where one would describe the person they loved, and others would guess who it was based on the clues given. However, “Addicted” stands out as the album’s most electrifying track, where Davno brings his music to life with a level of excitement and energy that is palpable.

Every song, from “Bunny” to “Crazy Love”, is a sonic love affair that seamlessly blends Afrobeats rhythms with deeply personal storytelling. My Bunny is a perfect representation of relationships that any listener will relate to. Lyrically it delicately handles subject matter of clinginess, reassurance and toxic love. All the “dos and don’ts” of a relationship that often go undiscussed. The main theme which comes through the music is of “being patient with each other, accepting flaws and being there for each other unconditionally.”

“I wrote these songs in the middle of intense emotions, right in the moment,” Davno shares. “The music just flowed because it was straight from the heart. It didn’t feel like work. It felt like the most natural way to express how much she means to me.”

Davno’s musical journey has always been guided by the rhythms of his heart and his love for his cultural roots. “My Bunny“marks a new chapter in his musical career, showcasing his evolution as an artist. Drawing inspiration from the local Kenyan music scene, including the likes of Bien from Sauti Soul, Nyashinski, and Chris Kaiga, Davno has honed his skills over the years and is now ready to share his music with a broader audience.

Having relocated to a new area, Davno began working closely with producer Will from Centro Cellar Studios, and together they created a sound that perfectly captures the energy, passion, and emotion of the album. “My Bunny” is a product of not just his personal love story but also his journey as an artist, collaborating with his younger brother on backing vocals and using online platforms to fine-tune the beats that form the backbone of each song.
