Rema’s ‘Calm Down’ Surpasses 2 Billion Streams on Spotify: Afrobeats has experienced several landmark moments in recent years, ranging from sold-out stadium concerts worldwide to impressive streaming statistics. The latest achievement falls into the latter category: Rema’s hit song ‘Calm Down‘ has surpassed 2 billion streams on Spotify.
Pulse Nigeria reported this milestone, highlighting that it includes two versions of the track. The original version has garnered 590.6 million streams, while the remix featuring Selena Gomez has amassed 1.41 billion streams. The remix set a record last September by becoming the first African artist-led track to surpass 1 billion streams on Spotify.

Beyond Spotify, ‘Calm Down’ has also achieved significant success on YouTube. The original version has 598 million views, while the remix has 905 million views.
