Wizkid Bags 3 Awards In 2021 AFRIMMA.Nigerian singer Wizkid was awarded three categories in the 2021 All Africa Music Awards ( AFRIMMA) The gala event took place on Sunday, November 2021. Fireboy DML also scooped two awards.
Essence with Tems The track, which was taken from the album ‘ Made In Lagos album won two awards, the song of the Year category and the category for the best African Collaboration. Wizkid was nominated for four categories, but only failed to make it into an album of the Year Award, that was won by Mali’s Iba One.
Fireboy DML on the other hand, won The Africans Fan’s Favorite as well as the Best duo African Hip Hop award for the track ‘ History along with Cheque.
Another Nigerian artist who took home the prize at the Afrima Awards 2021 was Flavour who was awarded the title of Most Outstanding Artiste or Duo of the year in African Dance or Choreography alongside Tanzania’s Diamond Platnumz and Congo’s Fally Ipupa.
