Tyler Ray Set To Release ‘All Aboard’ – Guitar picking singer-songwriter Tyler Ray has some stories to tell. Hailing from San Diego, CA. His new single “All Aboard”, sets out to derail the misconception that being vulnerable about your mental health has no place in the limelight. Having struggled with addiction, anxiety, and depression for most of his life, Tyler Ray is no stranger to self-medication and justification.

“All Aboard” is a glimpse into the mind of a man who’s had enough. Chasing down his dream of ‘making it” in the mercurial music business almost cost him more than he could afford to lose. But when the dust settled, he was forced to ask himself. What if the dream he’s held on to so tightly, turned out to be more addictive than the habits he outran to get there…

A completely independent release, “All Aboard” was produced by Josie Award-nominated producer, Daniel Dennis. Featuring guitarist, Jon Conley (Kenny Chesney, Luke Combs) and Lee Turner.Turner (Darius Rucker, Blake Shelton) it’s Ray’s most polished outing to date.

Speaking on “All Aboard” Tyler shares the story behind the lyrics. “I wrote this song in a camping trailer parked out in the backwoods of Michigan after playing a gig at a small biker bar in Midland…having just driven 2500 miles over the course of a day and a half before the gig. I was popping a sleeping pill and washing it down with an energy drink while my opiate buzz was wearing off and I looked at myself in the mirror and asked myself…”what are you doing?” That night, I wrote “All Aboard”…then proceeded to struggle with addiction for another 5-6 years. I still struggle…but I’m in a better place now.”

Hoping to inspire others to address their mental health challenges head on is the ultimate rationale for this particular story. It’s a timely message as the contemporary catch phrase ‘self-care’ makes its way into our vernacular. Recently, World Class Athletes and Entertainers from Michael Phelps to Simone Biles and Amanda Byrnes have spoken candidly about addiction and mental health issues, and helped to erase the stigma around the mental strain that comes from seeking success. Joining the conversation is Tyler Ray.
