Pandas Releases New EP – Pandamonium: Indie-soul four-piece Pandas are set to release their debut EP “PANDAMONIUM” on April 29th. The Glasgow-based band are driven by a burning passion for creating honest music, with strong influences spanning various genres, including Foals, Lauryn Hill and The Night Café. However, Pandas is about much more than the music itself, there is an intimate connection between the songwriting and story that brings together the things we love when listening to good music. Also united in their effort to advocate for equality in music, the indie outfit hope to provide a safe space for those listening, as they have found themselves in the music they love.

The “PANDAMONIUM” EP is an extension of Pandas soulful and chaotic yet gentle nature. The album showcases five tracks, four of which all written by different members of the band, and the melting pot of different creative influences results in a mesmerising explosion of equitize melodies, passion-fuelled instrumentation and honest lyricism. “PANDAMONIUM” sees Pandas take their biggest steps in the industry so far, working with producer Scott Thomson at Eggman Studios in Glasgow to record and mix the record, and renowned mastering engineer Tom Woodhead

The EP arrives with stand-out lead single “Mischief”, the track sees Pandas take a walk on the wild side, telling the story of a wild western chase between a range of encapsulating characters, creatively being much different from some of their previous work. Instrumentally “Mischief” features a menacing bass line guiding the track, accompanied with a frenzy of guitar play, and pounding, demonic drums. The single is the second chapter of the “Pandamonium” story Pandas have written, it once again features their unique, vibrant and boundary pushing sound as well as showcasing their love for film and music in an innovative lyrical manner.

Pandas provide the innocence, and beauty within human behaviour, and the empathy created by togetherness and the feeling that you are able to break away from the toxicity of modern life. Pandas, then, is the embodiment of “Yin and Yang”. The continuation of the movies that we used to enjoy watching as teenagers. The continuation of that feeling of the first time you ever listened to an album and felt moved, not because the music was great, but because the story had moved you.

2021 saw Pandas play various prestigious support slots with Pleasure Heads, RATS, and Shambolics, in addition to playing headline shows of their own at Broadcast and Saint Luke’s & The Winged Ox. 2022 has already seen Pandas play headline shows at Dunfermline’s PJ Molloys and on St. Patricks Day they played to a sold out Nice N Sleazys
