Exclusive Interview With Rae Stewart

Couple of days ago, we had the prerogative to interview Rae Stewart, concerning her musical under the auspices of Konstatinos and she was gracious enough to field questions from us.Kindly read the interview below and share your thoughts.

1.What’s your Background? 

Mixed race black/white father Scottish/English  mother Jamaican

 2.What made you realize that music was your path?

I’ve always known music was my path it just took me a long  time to get out there due to lack of confidence but I went through a really tough time and music was my therapy and I felt like the world said do it now or regret it.

 3.What inspired you to write “making love”?

What I’ve experienced other people’s experiences all real truth emotions.

 4.Who are your biggest influences?

There’s way to many to mention but give you a couple Prince, Aaliyah, lauren hill, swv, jhene aiko

 5.Do you get nervous before any performance?

Omg I have horrendous anxiety lol when on stage my hand shakes and the mic be going side to side id be thinking can people see!! having loads of thoughts while singing boi it’s crazy lol luckily it hasn’t happened the last show I’ve realised to just talk more to the audience and connect seems to help I love a lil talking ya see.

 6.How do you balance your music with other obligations ?

All I can to that question is I do what I gotta do init.

 7.What’s your motto or the advice you live by?

Believe in yourself and never stop dreaming?

You have the power to be who ever you want?

 8.If you could change anything about the music industry, what would it be?

For other uk artist to have more of an opportunity like London artist even though a lot of artist around the UK are getting heard I think it’s still a lot harder for us than London, london is very connected as a unit they go hard hard

 9.So, what’s your favorite thing to do when you aren’t writing any song? 

Being around my loved ones friends family nothing better than a good old laugh and good food

 10.Has there been one particular moment in your musical career that you’re most proud of?

The most proud moment would be when I got the courage to start this journey
