Drake Shares His Father’s Ancestry Tracing Results: Ancestry tracing sites have become increasingly popular in recent years as more and more people seek to piece together their lineage. Joining the ranks of those curious about their ancestry is Drake, who took to Instagram to share his father’s DNA test results.

On May 7, the “Hotline Bling” artist posted a photo of his father’s ancestry tracing results, which revealed roots in Nigeria, Cameroon, Congo, and more. The results showed Dennis Graham, Drake’s father, with 30 percent for Nigeria, 28 percent for Cameroon, Congo, and Western Bantu Peoples, 11 percent for Ivory Coast and Ghana, 8 percent for England and Northwestern Europe, and small percentages for Scotland, Mali, Benin and Togo, and Germanic Europe.

Drake seemed excited by the results and asked his followers if this meant he was finally a “Naija man.” Fans were quick to react, with many expressing their desire for a Drake and Burna Boy collaboration.

In other news, the Toronto superstar is set to embark on his “It’s All A Blur Tour” with 21 Savage in June. The tour will take them to cities like Chicago, Detroit, Boston, and Miami, as well as multiple shows in major markets like New York and Texas.

Drake and 21 Savage teamed up for their joint project titled “Her Loss” in November 2022, which went on to grab the No. 1 spot on the Billboard 200, thanks to 404,000 album-equivalent units sold during its first week of release. The album continues to gain popularity, eventually surpassing the 1 billion streams mark on Spotify.

Outside of his own releases, the Platinum rapper has also dropped guest verses on recent collaborations like “We Caa Done” by Popcaan, “Churchill Downs” by Jack Harlow, “WASTING TIME” by Brent Faiyaz, and more.

Drake’s interest in his family’s heritage is reflective of a larger trend, as more and more people seek to understand their cultural roots through DNA testing. It’s exciting to see celebrities like Drake embrace their ancestry and use their platform to share it with others.
