Daz Rinko – When You Call me – Memphis Hip-Hop artist Daz Rinko is back with his brand-new pulsating single ‘When You Call Me’ which is set for release on Thursday 19th August. Daz Rinko who is known for his upbeat and positive jams combines genres to create a unique style which is ever apparent in his new single.

‘When You Call Me’ is a burst of upbeat energy and is set to make dance floors thrive this summer. Daz teamed up with producer Cheap Limousine and invited the incredible Blair Lee to feature on the track. She adds extra fuel to the fire, creating a bursting sonic landscape of flavors.

“I began working on ‘When You Call Me’ towards the end of 2019 and found myself coming back to it throughout the early part of 2020. Given the pandemic, I had time to sit with it a bit and felt like I needed someone on the song with me. I’m a big fan of Blair. So, my team and I reached out to see if she would bless the track”, explains Daz.

When speaking about the meaning behind the single Daz continues to mention “It’s funny how a song I wrote in 2019 has taken on so much new meaning. Having gone through a bad break-up more recently, the lyrics I wrote now hit so much closer to home. ‘When You Call Me’ is a record documenting the end of a relationship where both sides love one another but ultimately, they know that they’re not good for each other. It’s basically explaining the conflicting feelings of a bad break up.”

In July 2016 Daz Rinko launched his memorable first offering in the form of a mixtape called ‘LIFTED’. The mixtape showcased Daz’s southern twist on the future bounce movement. In August of 2017, Daz followed up his debut with a 6-track EP titled ‘Black Boy Joy’ which showcased a more honed sound while addressing a number of issues that he and many Black men may face.

‘When You Call Me’ is the follow up to Daz Rinko’s 2020 hit tracks ‘Juice’ and ‘Candy Mane’. His successful career has so far seen him championed by such notable outlets like NPR, DJBooth, Pigeons & Planes, Noisey, EARMILK, Mass Appeal, Ones To Watch, Lyrical Lemonade, Atwood Magazine, Acid Stag, Elevator, RESPECT Magazine and many more.

The release of ‘When You Call Me’ which is backed up by a slick visualizer is the first taste of a fantastic new era of music for Daz Rinko. With so much up his sleeve for 2021 it’s easy to see the movement of exciting times for such a genre combining artist.
