Quavo Honors Takeoff’s Legacy with New Song “Greatness”: Quavo, a member of the rap trio Migos, continues to pay tribute to his late nephew Takeoff through music. Following his emotional tribute “Without You” last month, Quavo released a second song titled “Greatness” to celebrate Takeoff’s life and legacy.
In “Greatness,” Quavo raps over an upbeat instrumental, reflecting on his loss and honoring Takeoff’s memory. He even admits that he would give up all of his possessions to see his nephew again. However, Quavo also confirms the end of Migos, stating that the group cannot come back without Takeoff.
Despite any previous tension between Quavo and fellow Migos member Offset, Quavo remains grateful for his roots and acknowledges the impact of the group. In the music video for “Greatness,” Quavo is seen holding up a Migos chain and reminiscing on his success, interspersed with throwback clips of him and Takeoff.
Quavo’s tribute to Takeoff also included a performance of “Without You” during the Grammys’ In Memoriam segment. However, reports indicate that he and Offset got into a fight during the event.
Through his music and actions, Quavo is keeping Takeoff’s memory alive and demonstrating the importance of honoring the legacies of loved ones.
